Bold colors with abstract ideas based off my imagination
I have been making art in one way or another since I was a kid. It has morphed quite a bit over the last 15 years into what it’s now become. Almost everything I do is from my imagination with very few references. I enjoy the process but I tend to lose focus and consequently don’t produce as much as I would like.
The Process
I usually start with my large white board and just start making shapes and letting my hand go where it wants. Design is always front and center from the beginning before I even know what the piece will be. If I like what I’ve done, I’ll take a picture of it and put it on my computer. From there I’ll draw with my tablet and begin filling out the ideas. Then it’s off to Kinko’s for a large print of the line art and then transfer it onto a canvas. I paint with acrylic and occasionally dabble with watercolor and colored pencils.
